To begin I’d like to say I really enjoyed the experience. It was a different type of meditation experience than I ever experienced before. Doing the breathing techniques before going into the more relaxed state was definitely a game changer for me. I realized that I am not doing enough breath work during my own practices. So I will definitely be taking waht I learned with Pete and cultivating it into my own practices and I will continue to do that as I expand my learning through him. I was able to reach a state where my mind got quiet a lot faster than it normally does and my whole body started to vibrate and felt as if my body parts (such as fingers, hands and arms were moving by themselves.) I would start to zone out forget where I was at times. Then my most favorite part of the experience is when my whole body was vibrating and I was floating in a “black starry sky” feeling almost like this sense of detachment from my physical self in a way.
Now of course with the positives comes some things that also triggered me. The first trigger came up when I was practicing the breathing technique. Not only is it a lot of work but it is also new for me. Now I would say the only other trigger that arose was more towards the end of the experience and that was when I started to have thoughts pop up that would distract me. That can always seem to trigger me a little bit, but I would say I did a very good job at not attaching myself to the thoughts and letting them pass by freely. I did not give into them to allow them to trigger me in the way that they might normally have. yay me 🙂
Oh and also I had to pee towards the end so that also affected it a little bit!
I really liked at the beginning, before the session, Pete went and made the space a safe space and set up a protective container using his amethyst. I think that was really awesome and something I will be carrying over into my own practices. I also really enjoyed getting to use his heated crystal mat, that was wonderful! I also really appreciated that Pete took the time to practice and go over everything with me before jumping into the meditation. As well as he took the time to ask if I was okay and if I was ready and just making sure I was comfortable, that was all a plus in my book! I also liked setting an intention before going into the meditation. But also allowing to receive more or different information out side of that intention if that’s what ends up happening. It’s all about going with the flow and allowing for whatever wants to come through to come through and then pass when/if it needs to pass.
Now when it comes to what I think Pete should do differently, really and truly at this exact moment I do not have any. I was just learning it myself and some of it is new to me so it hard for me to think what could be better at this exact time. Maybe later down the line that can change, I’m not sure. But as of now I just can’t think of any. One thing in my practices that I do add that I don’t think Pete does is I do sage and I do use palo santo. I have a lot of Native American ancestors and family and they and I have used sage to cleanse for as long as I can remember so it’s something that has always stuck with me and I really enjoy using. Now I’m not saying everybody should use it and has to use it. I’m just saying for me and my practices I do use it as it is something I really like. I also call upon my spirit guide and connect with my spirit guides/angels before I go into my practices. Again this is also another personal one. As I know people have different experiences, beliefs and opinions when it comes to spirit guides and angels and that is completely okay! But yes for me and my personal practices that is something I do and enjoy!
Pete, thank you again for the experience it was wonderful! I am very much appreciative.
